This is not your average leadership training.

In this interactive Lead It Like Lasso workshop, we’ll use the heart, humor, and very human leadership lessons of Ted Lasso to dig into what leadership really looks like when things get messy.

Because leadership is easy to talk about when everyone is calm, the inbox is manageable, and nobody has just said the exact wrong thing in a meeting. But the real test? That comes under stress.

Participants will explore what pressure does to their communication, how their best leadership traits can sometimes come out sideways, and how to reset before the wheels come off. We’ll also dig into feedback that is honest without being harsh, relationship-building that goes beyond “networking,” asking for help without feeling like you have failed, and time management that is less about color-coded calendars and more about discipline, priorities, and showing up for what matters.

There will be laughter. There will be reflection. There may be a biscuit reference or two. But the goal is simple: leave with practical leadership moves you can use immediately in your work, your relationships, and your real life.

What you’ll get out of it

You’ll walk away with a better understanding of how you communicate under stress, especially when your good intentions are not landing the way you hoped.

You’ll learn a practical way to give feedback that challenges people without crushing them, because “fine” is not always the goal.

You’ll identify who belongs on your own version of a leadership advisory board — the people who help you think better, tell the truth, and not make every decision alone.

You’ll look at relationship-building as a leadership habit, not a personality trait or a networking chore.

You’ll rethink time management as a reflection of values, priorities, and discipline — not just a battle with your calendar.

And most importantly, you’ll leave with one clear next step for leading more intentionally when the game gets messy.

Marnie Stockman, Ed.D. is the co-author of Lead It Like Lasso and co-host of Leadership Rules and Lens of Leadership: A Ted Lasso Rewatch Podcast. A former teacher, executive, entrepreneur, and forever leadership geek, Marnie helps people understand how they show up, communicate, build trust, and lead themselves and others with more intention. Her sessions blend humor, reflection, practical tools, and just enough Ted Lasso to make leadership feel less like a corporate seminar and more like something you can actually use on Monday morning.
